Al-Rahmah School (ARS) is a non-public, non-profit, tax-exempt educational organization recognized

ARS was awarded the maximum 7-year certificate of accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools – Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). This multi-year effort is a testimony to the hard work and labor of love exhibited by our ARS family of constituents. The MSA-CESS Accreditation process is an external, objective validation of school quality and stude

nt achievement that fosters continuous school improvement through a holistic approach of examining the entire school. In order to become accredited, ARS demonstrated that it meets the Middle States Association Commissions of Elementary and Secondary Schools’ Standards for Accreditation across twelve domains, which include: Mission, Governance and Leadership, Improvement Planning, Finances, Facilities, Health and Safety, School Organization and Staff, Educational Program, Assessment and Evidence of Student Learning, Student Life and Activities, Student Services, and Information Resources.

We were so excited to welcome our students back to Al-Rahmah School for their first day! Our hallways were filled with smiling faces and joyful reunions.

The excitement was in the air at Al-Rahmah School during our Meet & Greet event.

While our students are getting ready to step through the doors, our amazing teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing classrooms, organizing materials, and putting the finishing touches on our school to make sure everything is ready for a wonderful new year.

We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and beginning another year of learning, growth, faith, and community together.

As we welcome our students back, our dedicated Al-Rahmah School faculty spent Professional Development Week preparing, learning, collaborating, and growing together.

What Are ARS High School Students Doing Now?

Our ARS high school students continue to achieve remarkable milestones both within and beyond our community!

Mikaael Wise has been a dedicated member of the martial arts team and recently earned two gold medals at the 2026 Virginia National Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships. In June 2026, he was also promoted to Juvenile Blue Belt—a significant accomplishment, as this promotion is typically considered around the age of 16.

Haadiya Aamir, one of our outstanding ARS high school students, will be organizing a Golden Age Art Class! For the past two years, she has been actively involved in ARS's intergenerational senior initiative. Now, she has taken the initiative to independently plan and lead an art activity for our senior community members, demonstrating exceptional leadership and service.

Ismail Umar is now an intern with ICNA Relief. His journey in community service began through various social service initiatives at ARS, where he consistently demonstrated a commitment to helping others. Today, he is expanding that impact by serving a broader community through his internship with ICNA Relief.

Congratulations to Mikaael, Haadiya, and Ismail on your continued success! We are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the future.

On Sunday 6/28/26 Our 6th grade students represented Al-Rahmah School as they were selected to showcase their project at the College Park Aviation Museum for the Maryland History Day Showcase. Congratulations to the students and their teacher Sr. Mam-Marie! MashAllah!

What better way to kick off the summer than with our Muslim kids playing together on a beautiful day?

MashaAllah, the highly anticipated end-of-year tradition - Field Day for Al-Rahmah School - had kids (and teachers!) jumping, laughing, and having a blast with a variety of games and activities.

Thank you for a fantastic school year! We hope all of our students and staff have the best summer ever, inshaAllah.

We’d also like to invite you for more fun and ways to connect to your Deen this summer by being a part of the Al-Rahmah Summer Camp inshaAllah - For kids ages 6-12, this is an exciting program with session options available from June 22nd to July 31st!
