New CDC report shows 9 out of 68 children (13%) reported to have died from flu this season had influenza-associated encephalopathy (IAE), a rare condition where the influenza virus causes swelling and damage in the brain. Overall, 80% of the children who died with IAE had not received a flu vaccine. There is still time to get vaccinated. Read the full paper: https://tinyurl.com/mm7406a3
