Some of you know that I had the honor of being one of the founding members of a new nonprofit, Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC) in December 2022! BGJWC has been identified by the Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT) as a Connector organization. That means BGJWC can help nonprofits in Baltimore position themselves to obtain FREE technical assistance to apply for several different environmental grant opportunities sponsored by Chesapeake Bay Trust. Make no mistake about it. This opportunity exists because too few organizations founded and run by Black and Brown people in Baltimore have the support to help them tap into grant dollars that could help bring environmental remediation, health and beauty to their communities. It's not a perfect process, but it is a process that we can utilize to help make Baltimore better a more beautiful and healthier place to live, work, play, pray and learn.
