Tuesday, September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re kicking off the celebration during The Mount Washington School’s Back to School Night! 🐯💙💛

Join us from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for an evening of family, community, connection, culture, and great food.

🌮 Erica’s Mexican Food will be on-site with tacos, quesadillas, churros, aguas frescas, and more available for purchase. Grab dinner while you meet teachers, visit classrooms, connect with staff, and explore our Community Resource Fair.

🚨 FIRST DAY ENERGY WAS DIFFERENT AT MOUNT WASHINGTON! 🐯💙💛

The backpacks were packed. The classrooms were ready. The smiles were BIG.

And just like that, the 2026–2027 school year is officially underway! 📚🎒

Today was about more than the first day of school.

It was students reconnecting with friends.
New friendships beginning.
Teachers welcoming their new classes.
Families showing up.
And our entire Mount Washington community coming together.

From arrival to the classrooms and all the first-day moments in between, these pictures tell the story. ❤️
