We want to remind our families to take advantage of the many job and career resources available throughout our community. Whether you are looking for employment, career training, resume support, or a fresh start, there are organizations ready to help.
Stable employment helps strengthen families, and strong families help students succeed. We encourage you to explore opportunities that can support your personal and professional goals.
Resources may include:
• Job openings and hiring events
• Resume and interview assistance
• Career training and certification programs
• Workforce development programs
• Transportation and support services
If you are interested in learning more or need help connecting to resources, please contact the school or reach out to the Community School Office. We are here to support our families beyond the classroom.
Together, we grow stronger as a community.

Due to the inclement weather forecasted over the next several days, Garrett Heights Elementary/Middle School will be postponing our Green Apple Day of Service scheduled for Saturday May 23, 2026.
While we were excited to come together to beautify our school community, the safety of our volunteers, students, and families comes first. We regret any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and continued support. A new date will be announced at a later time.
Please note: The FUNDrive Clothing Collection will continue as planned from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We still encourage families and community members to stop by and donate gently used clothing, shoes, household items, and more in support of our school.
Thank you again for your partnership and commitment to GHEMS.

Small hands. Real work. Big impact. 🌍
Today, our Garrett Heights Kindergarteners didn’t just talk about Earth Day—they showed what it looks like. Gloves on, bags in hand, they took pride in their space and cleaned up the playground for their school and community.
This is where it starts: ownership, teamwork, and doing the right thing when no one has to tell you. They didn’t wait. They led. We’re proud of our young Lions for stepping up and setting the tone for what community care looks like.

They showed up. They competed. They represented.
Shout out to the Garrett Heights Track & Field team for a strong meet! Every race, every handoff, every finish line—effort was on full display. This wasn’t just about speed. It was about discipline, teamwork, and pride.
The Lions ran hard and carried themselves even better. That’s what matters.
Keep building. Keep pushing. 🦁💨

What this means for your child:
