Dismantling white supremacy within our own professions is our responsibility, whether you are a budding doctor, nurse, lawyer, pharmacist, physical therapist, dentist, researcher, or social worker.
We are inviting students from all the schools at UMB to be part of our inter professional dialogue on dismantling white supremacy culture!
We are grateful to the UMB Intercultural Center for training us in facilitation and for guiding us in preparing for this event.

We are so excited about this dope opportunity to learn valuable skills in holding space for racial justice learning, unlearning, and growth! Students of all professions need to be comfortable having brave conversations with our peers and colleagues to build anti racist workplace and institutions a reality. Let’s get to it!
This event is co-sponsored by Anti Oppression Work Group, UMB Health Alliance, and Alliance of Anti Racist Social Work Practitioners.

Hello lovely AOWG people,
We wanted to extend an invitation to a Student Facilitator Training this Friday, 3/26 from 2:00pm-5:00pm with the Intercultural Center at UMB. The Intercultural Center leads a variety of services and trainings to strengthen understanding of anti-oppression, anti-racism, diversity, equity and justice in the application of professional practice. This training will help us to lead events on anti-oppression and DEI practice and connect with the greater UMB community.
We know it is a busy time, but you are welcome to join for the training. Below is the Zoom link. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and look out for more information on events from us soon.
