Starting today!!!
Roberta's House will be offering 5 week drop in grief and loss groups for students grades k-12. Groups will be about an hour (30 minutes k-2) for one day a week and will focus on coping skills, mindfulness activities, positive reinforcements and self esteem building. The groups are open for all students and there is no registration required.
After a peculiar school year, our children need time to decompress and debrief their feelings and emotions. Growing Through Loss and Changing the Game are excellent groups to allow for open dialogue and communication.

On Friday, June 26th, 5pm - 8pm, the Family Engagement team will be partnering with the Center for Urban Families, Black Fathers Network, and Dare-to-Be King to host the first-ever Friday Fatherhood Kickback on the lawn of the Rawlings Conservatory in Druid Hill Park!
Dads and families are invited to come out and join the celebration of fatherhood! The event will include: free and safe access to books, healthy snacks, frozen treats, and goodies entertainment, STEM, and Wholeness activities for families and children photo booth fun, giveaways, and community resources portable hand sanitizing stations and custom event t-shirts free professional portraits with the Baltimore Sun
Families are encouraged to wear masks and bring a lawn chair--we are maintaining safe SOCIAL DISTANCING at this EVENT!

A special event expressly for Baltimore City School Students 🗣🗣BHSB Exciting High School Youth Opportunity/Experience -
Behavioral Health Systems of Baltimore is Celebrating and providing a safe social distancing experience for youth that missed momentous school activities like Prom & Graduation due to the current 2020 pandemic school closures. Students/Graduates will take the Bmore Be Safe Pledge and receive free professional prom/graduation photos. Before participating in the photo session participants will take the fun interactive Bmore Safe red carpet walk which will educate students about the risks associated with using drugs and alcohol.This is an event to bring awareness and education on the effects of drug use during prom and graduation season. Resources will be available. Attention-Juniors, Seniors/Graduates ages 15-24.

The Bmore Be Safe Prom Pledge promotes education and awareness on the effects of alcohol and drug use. Studies have shown that during prom and graduation season there is an increase in alcohol and drug use as well as drunk driving crashes. This pledge is a promise to the student, their friends and families that they will make this night a memorable one and promote smart decisions and awareness in doing so.
