Today is the first day of the 2026–2027 school year for our students in Grades 1–5! 💙💛

We are SO excited to see our Roadrunners back in the building, ready for a year filled with learning, growing, making memories, and having fun! 🏫✨

A special welcome to our newest Roadrunners in Pre-K and Kindergarten! 🥰 Our youngest students are participating in gradual entry, with their first full day of school on Wednesday, September 2.

✨ NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨

This week we are shedding light on one of our new staff members here at Charlesmont.

Meet Ms. Robusto! She is joining us from Battle Grove Elementary and has been in education for 12 years. This year she will be our new social worker. "I am excited to join the Charlesmont community to collaborate with students, staff, and families to address barriers to learning to help all students to be successful!"

Meet Ms. Bannister! She comes to us from Maiden Choice School and has been teaching for 10 years. This year she will be our special educator in Pre-K. "I am excited to work with our pre-k students as their special educator and look forward to watching them learn, and grow throughout the school year."

This week we are shedding light on one of our new staff members here at Charlesmont.

Meet Ms. Comer! She is back at Charlesmont after teaching special education in Dundalk Elementary, but has taught 15 years in the county. This year she will be our IEP facilitator and Resource Teacher. "I’m so excited to be at Charlesmont again advocating for students and families through IEP facilitation and as a Resource Teacher! I hope to equip students and families with a voice and the tools they need to be successful throughout the school year, in the community, and beyond. "

We are excited to have an intern in the music room!

Welcome back, Music Makers! 🎶

Mrs. Pomeroy has a full-time intern this year - Mr. Chiu is back! He will be with us until mid-October when he goes to his secondary placement. He was here last fall as a junior once a week, but now he's doing his student teaching with us! We are VERY excited to have him back!
