We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Hopkins to Charlesmont Elementary! She brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership, most recently serving as Assistant Principal at Deep Creek Elementary. Ms. Hopkins was recently named Baltimore County’s Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year and is passionate about inspiring, supporting, and empowering every student to shine.

When she’s not at school, Ms. Hopkins enjoys attending Ravens games, cooking new recipes, traveling, spending time with her dog Charlie, and watching her favorite show, Scandal.

Ms. Hopkins believes in the potential of every child, and we know she will be a wonderful addition to our school community. We can’t wait for our students, staff, and families to get to know her!

CCBC offers FREE English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes for adults who want to improve their English for everyday life, work, and personal goals. Classes are available for beginning, intermediate, and advanced learners, with flexible morning, afternoon, and evening options.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 CCBC also offers Family Literacy ESOL classes designed specifically for parents who want to strengthen their English skills while supporting their children's education.

✅ Many classes are tuition-free through Maryland Department of Labor grant funding.

We’re excited to introduce our “Here for It” Pop Up Parties — a fun surprise for students when we hit awesome school-wide attendance goals! 🙌

On days when Charlesmont has amazing attendance, all students will celebrate with:
🍧 Popsicles in the cafeteria
🎶 Fun music during lunch

Being at school every day matters, and we’re making it even more fun to show up and shine! Help us keep attendance strong so everyone can join in the celebration.

🏃‍♀️🏅 Charlesmont Sports Day is TOMORROW! 🏅🏃‍♂️

We are excited for a fun day in the sun!

Students should bring/wear:
👟 Sneakers only (no Crocs, flip flops, or boots)
👕 Team color shirt (students will know their color)
💧 A large full water bottle labeled with their name
☀️ Sunscreen applied at home before school

If you plan to attend, all adults must sign in at the front office and receive a visitor badge. We can’t wait for a fun day of teamwork, movement, and school spirit! 🎉

Our first graders had an awesome field trip to Clark Elioak's Farm on Tuesday! ✨️The weather was favorable and the students had so much fun learning, exploring, and making memories together.

A huge thank you to our wonderful chaperones and everyone who helped make this trip a success. We truly appreciate your time! 💙🤍🌟
