Mr. Mathias’s Sports Journalism class got another taste of the life of a sports journalist! ✍️🏈

Recently, when they walked into class one day, they didn’t sit in their normal seats. Instead, they were given a notepad and a media badge and told an impromptu press conference would be starting in approximately 30 minutes.

Students scrambled to design thought-provoking, open-ended questions for a team captain, head coach, athletic director and assistant coach. Students handled the pressure, spoke with ease and incorporated the information they gathered into a featured article. 🎤📝

Another great example of students learning by doing! 🙌

On top of meaningful improvements to spaces for career and technical education and outdoor activities, the referendum also aims to improve safety, accessibility, and efficiency across our campus. That includes:

- Replacing worn and past-warranty roofing sections
- Redesigning the drop-off loop to improve safety and traffic flow
- Adding parking
- Centralizing kitchens and food storage

Watch to learn more about these important goals! For more information please visit: https://www.unity.k12.wi.us/page/unity-referendum-information OR call the District Office: (715) 825-3515
