Claymont Elementary School is located in Ballwin, Missouri which in 2012 was recognized as one of the nation's “Ten Best Towns for Families” by Family Circle magazine. Claymont is one of 18 elementary schools in the Parkway School District. It is a school with proud traditions of high academic achievement, high levels of family involvement, and great pride in the overall school community. Children attend Claymont from kindergarten through fifth grade. Our school feeds into the Parkway West High School system which is consistently recognized as one of the top high schools in the state of Missouri. Approximately 450 students attend Claymont Elementary and each grade level has three or four classrooms. Claymont also has resource services for students with a wide range of special needs. If you are moving to the Claymont area, please call the school office (314-415-6150) to arrange a tour with the principal. If you are ready to register your child, please visit the West Area Registration Office housed at Parkway West High School. 🎉 Claymont PTO Special Project: COMPLETE! 🎉

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially completed last year’s special project, funded by the Claymont PTO! ❤️

Our goal was to give the teachers’ lounge a major upgrade, creating a more comfortable and convenient space for the amazing teachers and staff who do so much for our Shorthorns every day. 💙

Thanks to PTO funds and the support of our Claymont community, the lounge now includes:

✨ Two new refrigerators
✨ An air fryer
✨ An air purifier
✨ Two microwaves
✨ A dishwasher

We’re so proud to be able to invest in our teachers and staff and show them just how much they are appreciated! These special projects are made possible by the continued support of our Claymont families, volunteers, and community.

🌸Beautification Committee Volunteers Needed!

We’re looking for a few helping hands Saturday, October 3rd to help keep our school grounds looking their best! 🌿🌷

Come get your hands dirty, meet some fellow parents, and help make our school a beautiful place for our students! 💚

✨ No gardening experience necessary!
✨ Kids are welcome to join!
✨ Come for as much or as little time as you can!

Can’t make Saturday? We’d still love to have you join the Beautification Committee! We meet about once a month and have lots of other ways to help—from donations and plant swaps to helping spread the word.

ONE OF CLAYMONT’S BIGGEST NIGHTS NEEDS YOU!

Trunk or Treat | Friday, October 23 | 6-8:00 p.m. | Claymont Parking Lot

Trunk or Treat is one of the most anticipated nights of the year at Claymont Elementary—and we need a whole community of volunteers to make the magic happen!

There is a way to help with almost every schedule. Many shifts are only 15–30 minutes long, which means you can volunteer and still enjoy the evening with your family.

You can host a decorated car or allergy-friendly car, welcome families, help with parking and candy, judge the trunks, assist cars as they leave, or join our clean-up crew. No special experience is required, and clear instructions will be provided.

Whether you give us a few minutes or the entire evening, your help will make Friday, October 23, safer, smoother, and more memorable for every Claymont child.

Please don’t assume someone else will fill the spot—we truly need lots of helping hands!
