Picture mysteries, day 1. Fourth graders started these mystery challenges last week. Tomorrow, groups will wrap up their problem solving and share their thinking. We are all detectives!

Puzzle Palooza with fifth grade. We love flexing our complex thinking muscles in a variety of ways- logic puzzles, math riddles, hink pinks, analogies, and more!

Second grade researched animal adaptations. All students analyzed the different purposes of different animal body parts. From this, all students designed and invented a brand new animal with 5+ specialized features! Then, it was time to construct a cup creature. By the end of class on Friday, students were able to tour our very own class zoo! This critical thinking activity led to an amazing opportunity for students to be thoughtful and creative. It was so fun to share these unique animals.

Second grade students learned about zoos. We then used some makerspace materials to add more detail to our big cat origami!

Fun with flags in fourth grade! Students learned about color and symbolism. From this, each student designed a flag that represented their values and interests.

Hi, Henry MOSAICS families! My name is Erin Valleroy. I am so excited to be your students' teacher this year. I have had the privilege of teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade over the past 14 years, with 11 of those being in 5th grade at Henry Elementary School. I am so eager to step into this new role at the school and community I love so much!

I have been working hard unpacking and moving to the MOSAICS classroom. Stay tuned for some updates and information as we head back to school in the coming weeks. It is going to be a great year!

We are excited to welcome Erin Valleroy to our MOSAICS team! She will be teaching at Henry Elementary where she was previously a 5th grade teacher. Welcome, Erin!
