Michelle Dalton, owner and advocate, has been supporting families in understanding the IDEA and Section 504 to access their children's educational rights since 2015. She is a member of the National Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, and completed their Intermediate Advocacy (SEAT 2.0) certificate program in 2021. As a parent of a child with Autism, Michelle understands the unique challenge

s parents of children with disabilities face in acquiring adequate and appropriate supports for their children in k-12 public schools. Her areas of practice specialty include: Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Executive Function Skills, and ending the use of Seclusion and Restraint. Michelle has successfully worked to positively resolve over 95% of her cases in St Louis County and St Charles County public schools. Services we offer:
-IEP 'check-ups': a thorough review of your child's IEP and most recent evaluation with written summary
-Full Records Review: an in-depth analysis of your child's educational records with written "action plan" of suggestions parents can take to resolve any issues found in the review
-Consultation: meet with an advocate face-to-face or on zoom to discuss a problem that you or your child is having
-Educational Advocacy: all services listed above, advocate attends school meetings relevant to your child's case and assist the parent to resolve the issues of concern with the IEP team

Educational Advocacy may be offered for a sliding fee for families that qualify.

A notice to customers & followers:

This school year we will be offering consultative services only. This means we will reviews IEPs, evaluations and school records, provide action plans, and consult with parents on those plans but we are unable to attend school meetings.
