Finally got to utilize wound closure device today. This was a large arm laceration that was repaired with sutures and staples. She came back for removal and the area closest to the elbow concerned me, so I placed a 40mm Clozex over this area to give a few extra days of support. Very easy to apply. I look forward to using this product more.

Auricular hematoma. I think this is the first one I’ve drained myself. Pretty easy procedure. Patient did not follow up with ENT and the dressing stayed in place for a few weeks. She came back to the ED, bandage removed, and it looked pretty good. This is down to prevent breakdown of the cartilage and to avoid cauliflower ear.
