As a mom of two girls under age three, I’ve been searching for an early learning toddler class and I haven’t found anything like it. *Younger siblings (9 months and under) are welcome to listen in for no additional charge! What: An enriching, play- based learning experience for you and your tot
When: One day a week for 1 hour (schedule TBA)
Where: Willow Health and Wellness Center
Why: Because children Learn BEST by Playing!! This tot time will be an opportunity to practice fine motor, gross motor, sensory, early literacy and numeracy skills all while playing and socializing! The theme each week will promote language development and will add to the fun! Research tells us that your little one needs countless daily opportunities to explore his/her world through PLAY! Children LEARN best by playing! During our one hour class each week, your child will socialize with other children while playing and learning. The class will have a different theme each week and will be Mommy and Me in nature, so that the parents/grandparents/nannies will support their child, as they build preschool and kindergarten readiness skills. I am certified in Elementary and Special Education as well as Literacy, so planning and creating their tot school time will be very purposeful! The class will begin with a read aloud about the theme and then we will do a gross motor movement activity. For the remainder of class, the children and their caregivers will move freely around the room exploring different hands on play stations reinforcing the theme. Each week their play will explore and strengthen their early literacy and numeracy, fine motor, gross motor, and sensory abilities. Willow Health and Wellness Center offers the perfect location on Route 31 in Baldwinsville. I will hold several DEMO classes this summer and will post about open registration soon.
