The Lake County 2016 Internet Survey is ready. This survey is part of the effort to provide the data needed to bring more Internet providers to our county.
It will also survey to complete our effort to become a "Connected County".. In the next week we will be adding new groups to our survey: Lake and River Associations, civic and community groups throughout the county.

Today is last day for 4H little league sign up and it is opening day. If your child is interested in playing baseball please make sure to sign him or her up at the MSU Extension office today.

Lake County Farmers Market Feasibility Study

Dear Lake County Residents,

Please take a few moments to provide us with your input on the possibility of a farmers market in Lake County. This study is being conducted at the request of the Lake County Board of Commissioners. Thank you for your time and input!

2. Would you shop at a Lake County “wild market” featuring locally gathered items such as: mushrooms, berries, wintergreen, herbs, syrup, honey, and products made from these?

3. Do you feel there is a need for a weekly farmers market or is once per month during the summer enough?

4. Lake County owns a large parcel of land in Webber Township. This land is the former fairgrounds. Do you think that this location would be appropriate for a community farmers market in Lake County?

6. Some communities have a mobile farmers market. This is a bus with fresh fruits and vegetables that travels around the county. Do you think this is a good model for Lake County?

*We are still looking for organizations in other locations to host our meetings when the weather is warmer (May – September or October). Please let us know if you can host us outside of Baldwin. We want to meet in other locations across Lake County.
