Lake County Community Food Council Meeting

1. Introductions – Freddie Rosado, Chair
2. Review of the minutes from February - Freddie
3. Farmers Market Feasibility Study project and surveys – Kendra Wills
a. Local government survey (postcard) being mailed this week.
b. Community survey – please email out!
i. St. Ann’s, Baldwin Library, Bank, possibly Housemans
c. Wild foraged market research
d. Community meeting in April? Sunday after church?
e. Organization to operate the market?
4. Discussing details of the Garden in a Box Workshop – Leo, Paul, Sally, Sue and other team members
5. Update from Bread of Life Pantry – Lynne, Kathy, Sue and Kendra G.
6. Discussion on the idea of shared storage for Lake County area food pantries - Leo
7. Voices for Food report – Kendra Gibson
8. Report on Blessing of the Plant event – not sue who will be covering this. Fr. Ron?
9. Update on the Real Hunger Games - Leo
10. Other items?
*We are still looking for organizations in other locations to host our meetings when the weather is warmer (May – September or October). Please let us know if you can host us outside of Baldwin. We want to meet in other locations across Lake County.
