According to the CDC, “Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women”. Multiple factors contribute to these disparities, which range from medical biases to adequate medical resources.

So we encourage you all to use this holiday to honor the mom in your life, and remember the mothers who have passed, so that together we can curb this medical & public health crisis 🙏🏾

~This September is Hunger Action Awareness Month 🌾!~

And is working with several companies to bring food & wellness products to our Cush Center scholars and their families at P.S. 48Q for our Back to School: Block Party 🎈event!
•
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) more than 13 million households in the United States were uncertain or unable to acquire food at some time during 2021.
•
So we are taking action against hunger by donating canned food, pantry items, and wellness products to the most vulnerable, and any items remaining will be donated to a local university run student food pantry in NYC. 
•
Please join us and do your part to take action against hunger by supporting your local food banks and pantries 🙏🏽 
•
