October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and at Joy’s Children’s Learning Center (JCLC), we believe in the power of coming together to spread awareness, show compassion, and support those impacted by breast cancer. 💗

🩷 TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2026 – WEAR PINK! 🩷

We invite all of our JCLC children, families, teachers, and staff to WEAR PINK as we stand together in unity, love, and hope! 🎀

🍎✨ Tasty Tuesday at JCLC: Apple Donuts! ✨🍩

Our older infants, toddlers, and preschoolers had so much fun creating their own Apple Donuts! Fresh apple slices became the “donuts,” yogurt became the “frosting,” and colorful sprinkles added the finishing touch. The children even mixed and painted their yogurt different colors! 🎨🥄

👩🏽‍🍳 Our very own Chef Ms. Carolina leads our children in learning about nutrition and developing healthy eating habits through fun, hands-on food experiences. Today, our children explored how apples and yogurt can be healthy AND delicious! 🍎🥣💚

While creating their apple donuts, children practiced fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, color recognition and mixing, creativity, sensory exploration, making choices, following directions, and learning new vocabulary.

At Joy’s Children’s Learning Center, even snack time is an opportunity to learn, explore, create, and build healthy habits! 🌱📚💛

We had so much fun learning about different cultures, traditions, countries, and the many things that make each of us special.❤️ Our big friends enjoyed creating, exploring, sharing, and celebrating the beautiful diversity within our classroom community!

We loved ending the week with a reminder that our differences make us unique, and together we make our classroom a special place!🫶💛
