CavellMusic At CavellMusic Studio, we teach voice and piano to people of all ages in a fun and relaxing environ

Rita and Kathy Cavell (our family name is Gravina) are mother and daughter music professionals. After years of studying and performing in the theatre and nightclubs in the 1940's and 50's, Rita decided to settle down and raise a family. In the year 1958 with two children, and one (Kathy) on the way, Rita opened the studio with 4 students and quickly the studio became a thriving business on the main line. At Cavell Music we have had the the opportunity to meet and teach literally thousands of students; from accomplished singers to people who come simply for the love of music. Throughout the years the studio has brought entertainment in the form of variety shows to countless venues, including dinner theaters, nightclubs, nursing homes, hospitals and prisons. Many of our current students are the children and grandchildren of former students.

This is SOOOO EXCITING!!!💖💖💖

Tom Holland's upcoming Fred Astaire biopic has cast its two leading ladies: Margaret Qualley as Adele Astaire, Fred’s older sister and Broadway partner, and Sabrina Carpenter as his co-star and dance partner, Ginger Rogers.
Qualley is known for her work in 'The Substance' and Netflix's 'The Maid,' while Carpenter is a two-time Grammy winner. Holland, fresh off the success of 'The Odyssey' and 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' had previously said that he didn't want any doubles and wanted to "do all the dancing" and "do Fred proud."

Here’s another video from Mia singing one of my favorite songs to teach. “Only Hope” touches my heart and brings so many memories of so many students over the years. Nice job, Mia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎶💜🙏

Here’s Harry with another example of hard work paying off. I challenged him with a difficult song to learn and he worked diligently to master it. Great work Harry!! “Out There” from The ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’ 🎼🎬🎪

I had so much fun working with Gillian on this performance of the comedic "Adelaide's" Lament" from Guys and Dolls. Gillian is going off to college now to make the world a better place. Take a piece of the studio with you and keep in touch!!!🤧😷🤒😂😍❤️

Lena is just a ray of sunshine!! She brings a smile to my face and lights up my evening during her lesson. We have tackled a few genres of music this year, but I think she has just the right voice for this standard. Please enjoy “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”

Here’s Ivy!! Ivy worked hard on Flying Henry as it is the longest and most difficult song we have tackled yet. We rushed to get it recorded beef she goes off for summer. I’ll miss her until September. Nice work, Ivy!!
