Supporting Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Project Next Step. Umoja students presented to 6th to 8th graders on preparing to go to college! I was impressed with the information the college students provided and the questions the young people asked! Just look at Umoja students pouring into the youth. 👏🏼👏🏼 Dr. Parks co-presented with Dr. Derrick Young of California Community Colleges’ HBCU transfer guarantee program. Had an informative Indaba with business professor Dr. Keith Wolaridge on crafting a resume and cover letter as well as interview tips. After years in the banking industry, he knows a lot about networking and landing a job. As a Black man who cares about our capable, brilliant students - he provided the much-needed Afrocentric lens. He also included updates on how AI has changed job hunting. We are grateful for the valuable insights!
