The Early Childhood Council of Kern was proud to support the 2nd Annual African American Child Care Providers of Kern County Conference!

Our Council Chair and staff joined early childhood professionals and providers from across California for a day of learning, connection, advocacy, and meaningful conversation about the issues impacting children, families, and the early care and education workforce.

We are grateful for opportunities like this that bring providers, community partners, and state leaders together to share resources, strengthen relationships, and elevate the important work happening in early childhood education.

Congratulations to the African American Child Care Providers of Kern County on another successful conference. We look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen the early childhood system in Kern County and beyond!

We’re closing out today feeling inspired and energized after an incredible professional development seminar on inclusion and equity led by Angela Searcy, Ed.D. The shared learning, thoughtful reflection, and authentic connection throughout the day created a truly engaging experience.

A heartfelt thank you to Kern County Superintendent of Schools, Kern Early Stars, and the Early Childhood Council of Kern staff and volunteers for making today possible. Your commitment to our community continues to move this work forward.

And thank you to everyone who registered and showed up today. Your presence and dedication to children and families make all the difference.
