Hello Parents,
Today in social studies we learned about Washington D.C. and the students thoroughly enjoyed this lesson. Please ask them about these buildings and other symbols we have learned about that represent our country. It's pretty amazing to watch them grow and how their minds soak up all this information!!! These Kinders rock!!!!

Questions to spark conversation:
1. Name one symbol that represents our country? (Flag, bald eagle, and Mt. Rushmore)
2. Who was our first President? (George Washington)
3. What does the red stripe mean on the flag? (Bravery)
4. How many stripes are on the flag? (13)
5. Name one of the Presidents on Mt. Rushmore? (Washington, Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln)
6. Who are the candidates running for Presidency? (Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton)
