Dear Friends and Family,

I have some happy news to share: after 43 years of caring for children, I am retiring! I’m excited for this new chapter, even though saying goodbye to the work I love brings a few tears.

I feel so blessed by every little life that has been part of mine and by every family who trusted me with their child. What began as a career became a lifetime of first steps, big hugs, funny stories, and friendships I will always treasure.

I wrote a little poem to say what is in my heart:

For forty-three years, my days were filled
With little hands and dreams to build.
With giggles, questions, hugs, and play,
The children brought me joy each day.

To every family who placed their trust in me,
Thank you for all you’ve helped me see:
That love can grow in countless ways
And stay with us beyond our working days.

Now a new adventure waits for me,
With time to rest and room to dream.
I’ll miss those little voices, that much is true,
But I’m excited for what comes next, too.

Thank you, my friends and family, for cheering me on throughout these 43 years. Your love and support have meant more than I can say. I’m looking forward to making new memories with you—and perhaps enjoying a morning or two without setting an alarm!

With love and gratitude,
Carolyn
