🐷🌾 Farm Day Fun at BPN! 🐰🐄

Farm Day in preschool is just about the best thing ever! Today was one of those magical days where you could literally see the sparkle in the children’s eyes. We were so blessed to have some special animal friends join us!

The children got to feed bunnies, watch a pig roll around in the mud, and even hold baby rats and a snake! 🐰🐖🐀🐍 Their excitement and curiosity made the whole day so much fun!

And the farm fun didn’t stop there! We “milked” a cow 🐄, went bobbing for apples 🍎, shucked corn 🌽, and enjoyed several other farm-inspired activities throughout the day.

Days like today are exactly why we believe in learning through play. The children were exploring, asking questions, building confidence, using their senses, practicing new skills, and—most importantly—making memories they’ll hopefully carry with them for years to come. ❤️

We are truly in the memory-making business at Bakersfield Parent Nursery, and today was a pretty amazing day! 🌾🐷🐰

We are in the memory-making business at BPN! ❤️

We want your child to look back fondly on their years with us and remember a childhood filled with joy, connection, laughter, and love. Most importantly, we want them to know they were always loved, valued, and appreciated for exactly who they are.

That’s why we create special event days like today’s Mud Exploration Day! 🪣💦🤎 These experiences give children the freedom to get messy, explore, create, laugh, and learn through play—all while building meaningful memories along the way.

At BPN, we believe these early years aren’t something to rush through. They are years to experience, explore, develop, grow, and make memories. We’re building a foundation for learning through play while creating a childhood our students can look back on with a smile and know that their experiences were built on love, respect, and a whole lot of fun. ❤️

🌱 Seed Exploration was a hit today! 🌱

Our children had so much fun cutting open and exploring the fruits and vegetables you sent in. Thank you for your generous donations! 🍎🥕🌽

This hands-on activity gave the children the opportunity to observe different shapes, colors, textures, and seeds while making real-world connections to how plants grow. As they carefully cut, scooped, touched, and examined each fruit and vegetable, they were building fine-motor skills, practicing observation, developing vocabulary, and learning through discovery.

Group time is about so much more than reading a book. Our little learners are practicing how to count, focus, listen, participate, and share as they learn to be part of a group.

These early classroom experiences help build confidence, communication skills, and a love for learning—all while having fun together! ✨

Our first two weeks of school have flown by! 🥹💕

The children have adjusted so beautifully to their new environments and are already thriving as they explore, play, create, and build new friendships. Watching them become comfortable, confident, and excited to come to school has been such a joy!

We love our little classrooms filled with fun, friendship, learning, and families. 🥰 Our community is growing stronger every day, and we feel so lucky to be a part of it!

Bakersfield Parent Nursery is a cooperative preschool where children can attend 2–5 days per week from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Our play-based program provides an enriching environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and learn in developmentally appropriate ways through hands-on experiences and meaningful play.

One of the unique things about BPN is our parent participation model. Because families volunteer in the classroom, assist with fundraisers and events, and help maintain our school, we are able to keep tuition lower than many other preschool programs. Along the way, parents build lasting relationships with other families, children, and staff while gaining a firsthand look at their child’s early learning journey.

One of the funnest events of the year is our Glow Party! The children get to explore and create with neon paints, make a collaborative art piece using glue and paper, play with dot stickers and blocks, enjoy face painting, and have a great time dancing, laughing, and making memories together. ✨🎨🖍️💃🕺

There’s something special about creating together 🎨✨

Our students explored collaborative process art through painting, sharing ideas, colors, and creativity every step of the way. The focus wasn’t on the final product — it was about the experience of exploring, experimenting, and working together! Watching their imaginations come to life was pure joy. 💛
