🦅 FIRST WEEK COMPLETE!

Okay, technically it was only three days, but what a great first week back at OKCS!

Today we wrapped things up with our first Friday Flag of the year, and there’s nothing quite like seeing our entire school come together in one place. Students, teachers, and staff laughing, having fun, celebrating one another, and simply enjoying being together again.

Friday Flag is one of those traditions that reminds us that school is about more than what happens inside the classroom. It’s about community, relationships, school spirit, and creating a place where our students know they belong.

Three days down and a whole school year ahead of us!

We’re excited, we’re ready, and we can’t wait to see what God does in and through Olive Knolls Christian School this year.

🦅 FIRST DAY BACK!

What an amazing first day of school at Olive Knolls!

There’s just something special about seeing our campus full again. Smiling faces, friends reconnecting, new friendships beginning, teachers back in their classrooms, and families coming together as we kick off another year at OKCS.

From Kindergarten all the way through 8th grade, it was such a joy to welcome our Eagles back and see the excitement throughout campus.

And this is only Day 1.

We’re excited for the week ahead and even more excited for the year to come. We can’t wait to see how our students learn, grow, build friendships, develop in character and faith, and discover all that God has for them this year.

Welcome back, Eagles. It’s going to be a great year! 🦅

🍎 Meet the Teacher Night! 🦅

What a great way to kick off a brand-new school year!

Tonight, our K–5 families came back to campus for Meet the Teacher, and it was so good to see everyone together again. Classmates reunited, families reconnected, students met their teachers, classrooms came back to life, and there were plenty of smiles, hugs, popsicles, and treats along the way!

A big thank-you to the parents who helped make tonight extra special and welcomed our families back to campus.

After a summer apart, there’s just something special about seeing our OKCS community together again.

Now the classrooms are ready, the teachers are ready, and tomorrow morning, WE’RE BACK!

We can’t wait to welcome all of our Eagles for the first day of school. See you tomorrow! 🦅

🦅 MIDDLE SCHOOL IS READY!

The countdown is almost over, and we’ve spent the last couple of days setting the tone for an incredible year ahead!

Last night, our Middle School families came together for Middle School Orientation as we talked about expectations, standards, opportunities, and all the exciting things ahead for our students this year.

Then this morning, it was all about our 8th graders. As the leaders of our Middle School, this class has a unique opportunity to set the example, shape the culture, and lead the way. We spent the morning together talking about what it means to make the most of their final year at OKCS and preparing them to finish their journey here strong.

And we’re not done yet!

🦅 WE’RE BACK!

Today marked the official first day back on campus for our OKCS faculty and staff!

Our team spent the day together for in-service, training, preparing classrooms, planning, learning, praying, and getting everything ready to welcome our students back this Wednesday.

The classrooms are coming together. The teachers are ready. The campus is getting busy again. And most importantly, we’re excited to have our Eagles back!

We’re prepared, we’re expectant, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for our students, families, faculty, and staff this school year.

And a HUGE thank-you to Mrs. Jen and her amazing team for taking such good care of us with breakfast and lunch today! We’ll be honest, we’re pretty sure half of us come back every year just for her famous quiche. 😂 Mrs. Jen does an incredible job providing meals for our students throughout the year, and today she made sure our staff was well-fed too. We appreciate her and her team more than they know!

Plant Day! 🪴🌱

Today we put our green thumbs to work and potted our very own plants! We had so much fun learning how to care for them so they can stay happy, healthy, and growing for a long time.

A special thank you to Miss Alicia and Miss Wendy for bringing so many wonderful plants for our students. We had an amazing time! 🌼✨

Water Day to Beat the Heat! 💦☀

Today we had a blast making a splash and cooling off from the hot summer sun! Students enjoyed plenty of water fun while beating the heat and making great summer memories.

It was a refreshing day filled with laughter and fun!😁💦

🎬 Movie Academy Behind the Scenes

Even in the middle of summer, we’re looking back at some of the creativity, hard work, and hands-on learning that happened at the end of the school year.

These photos are from a few pickup shots for this year’s upcoming Movie Academy production, The Compound.

Using green screen, special effects, and a little movie magic, our students are working to match these shots with scenes filmed earlier on location. It’s one more glimpse into the kind of creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skill our students get to develop through Movie Academy.

This is one of the electives that makes OKCS so special. Students don’t just learn about storytelling, filmmaking, production, and performance. They actually get to create something together from start to finish.

We’re so proud of the work our students are putting into this project, and we can’t wait to see The Compound come together and be released next school year.
