You are invited to join us for a Memorial Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, May 4th, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Admin Quad.
This solemn event is held in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service to our country. During the ceremony, we will raise the flags representing each branch of the armed forces as a tribute to their sacrifice in honor of Memorial Day. These flags will remain on display throughout the month of May as a visible symbol of remembrance and respect.
We encourage all members of the campus community to attend and take part in this moment of reflection and honor.

Congratulations WHF!! Well deserved ❤️🇺🇸
❤️ Thank You, Dignity Health ❤️
The Wounded Heroes Fund is incredibly grateful to Dignity Health of Bakersfield for their generous $50,000 grant in support of our food pantry programs, including our Monthly Food Baskets and Emergency Food Kits.
This funding will have a direct and meaningful impact on the Veterans and families we serve here in Kern County. It will help ensure that hundreds of Veterans have access to consistent, nutritious food, especially during times of hardship. From full food baskets with fresh essentials to ready-to-use emergency kits for those in urgent need, this support strengthens our ability to respond when it matters most.
Dignity Health’s generosity reflects a shared commitment to caring for our community and those who have served our nation. We are proud to stand alongside partners who embody that same spirit of service.
Local Heroes. Local Help. 🇺🇸

Our Veterans Club, Greek Life, and the Rodeo (REAC) Club came together this week to support the local Jamison Center with a meaningful donation.
We are incredibly proud of our student groups—time and time again, they step up, quietly doing real work that makes a real difference in our community.
These acts of kindness aren’t about recognition or photos ops; they’re about impact, compassion, and doing what’s right when no one is watching. Our students lead with heart, and their actions speak louder than any spotlight ever could.
Thank you to every student who continues to serve, give, and uplift others. You make our campus proud
