Volleyball season is almost here! 🏐

St. Francis Volleyball Tryouts are Friday, August 14 for students in 6th–8th Grade.

Time: 3:30 PM–5:30 PM

Location: Bakersfield Volleyball Club, 5850 District Blvd.

Athletes should come ready to play in athletic clothing, athletic shoes, and knee pads, and don’t forget to bring water.

Back-to-school means it’s time for the Charger closet check.

Our St. Francis dress code helps keep students looking neat, prepared, and ready to learn, while making those school mornings a little more predictable for everyone.

Before the first day, take a few minutes to double-check:

- Uniform pieces by grade level
- Approved shoes and socks
- Outerwear
- Skirt, jumper, and shorts length
- Grooming guidelines
- Belts and ties where required

🌟 Pro parent tip: Have your Charger try everything on now. Summer growth spurts have a way of making last year’s perfectly good pants look suddenly very ambitious.

And just like that… the Chargers are BACK. 🐴 📚

New backpacks. Fresh supplies. Big first-day energy. A few nervous butterflies. Probably at least one forgotten water bottle. 😅 Maybe a few crying parents?!

We’re kicking off the 2026–2027 school year with a full week of welcome-back moments, family events, Mass, meet & greets, and plenty of Charger spirit.

A few important reminders for Week One:
- Chargers begin Tuesday, August 11 at 9:00 AM
- Little Chargers begin Wednesday, August 12
- Chargers have minimum days all week
- Little Chargers follow their regular schedule
