Congratulations! ππΌ
CSUB alumna, Nora Alammari, was selected for the Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program! π
She is currently working toward a Ph.D. in pharmacological sciences at the University of California, Irvine.
The CDIP was established in 1987 to increase the number of faculty from underrepresented populations in the CSU. Recipients are typically seniors and graduate students who are applying to Ph.D. programs in fields where they are underrepresented, such as women in the sciences. CDIP fellows also receive faculty mentorship and opportunities for professional development opportunities.
βI feel incredibly honored and excited to be selected,β Alammari said. βI first learned about this program as an undergrad and had my eye on it, especially after learning that some of my CSUB professors were CDIP fellows themselves. Being selected feels very meaningful, especially as a first-generation student and a CSUB alumna. It feels like a recognition of not only my current doctoral work, but also of the pathway that helped me get here.β
