Every spring, the California Association of Local Conservation Corps hosts Government Education Day in Sacramento.
On this impactful day, all 14 local corps come together, bringing corpsmembers and leaders to the State Capitol to learn how government works, connect with legislators, and represent the voices of their communities.
We’re proud to share that our Corps is there alongside CALCC, actively participating in conversations that support and strengthen our statewide programs. Through advocacy, education, and awareness, our Corpsmembers are helping shape a future where communities understand how their actions impact the environment, and how they can be part of the solution.

The Environmental Corps Recycling Department is proud to recognize Fabian Gomez as the 2025 Corpsmember of the Year. Fabian began in the Corps program, stepped away to pursue his education, and later returned through the ETR program and rejoining the Corps with renewed dedication. He consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, a willingness to help, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills.
