Fall is almost here, and we want to make sure you stay enrolled. 🎓
 
If your balance is $200 or more, you have until Thursday, August 13 to get it under $200. Students still owing $200 or more will be dropped on August 17.
 
You can pay online through InsideBC or in person at Business Services in the Welcome Center. Reach out to Financial Aid, Admissions & Records, or the Student Information Desk if you have questions or need help.

For a lot of these students, last week was their first time stepping onto a college campus. 🎓

The Dual Enrollment and Early College Department hosted two free events: the Launch Academy for new students and the Level Up Academy for returning ones.

Nearly 650 students spent the day learning about dual and concurrent enrollment, financial aid, campus resources, and what it really takes to be a college student, with workshops and activities throughout.

Thank you to the Early College team for putting it all together.

On June 11, we pinned the first-ever Kern-AUCC Health Scholars Pathway (KAHSP) cohort. Their journey to practicing medicine starts here at Bakersfield College.🫀
 
We can’t wait to see them pursue their dreams through an AUCC institution, then Morehouse School of Medicine, and finally returning to Kern to serve their community. 🥼🩺
 

The new Agriculture Sciences building is coming together. 🌾

Kern County is one of the top agricultural producers in the United States, and BC’s Ag program has been preparing students for careers in this industry for over a century. This facility is built to match that legacy.

We can’t wait for the next chapter to begin.

We came together to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month with traditional dishes, Polynesian performers, and voices from community members including BC’s very own Director of Food Services, Fidel Cabuena, sharing what this month means to them.
