First Annual Explore Dance Competition 💃✨

What an exciting week at Standard Middle Explore Afterschool! 🎉🏃‍♂️🎨👩‍🍳

Our students had an amazing time during Track & Field Day, showing teamwork, determination, and school spirit while competing in fun events and cheering each other on!

Creativity was also on full display in our clay art class, where students designed and shaped incredible masterpieces using their imagination and artistic skills. 🎨✨

And of course, the cooking class was a delicious success! Students learned new kitchen skills while creating tasty treats and having fun together. 🍴😋

We love seeing our students learn, explore, and grow through hands-on experiences every day!

Creativity is in full swing at Wingland Elementary’s Explore Afterschool Program! 🎨✨

Our students have been busy exploring new skills and expressing their imagination through hands-on activities like cooking class, cardboard art creations, paper mâché projects, and beautiful dream catchers. From crafting to cooking, every activity gives students the chance to learn, create, and have fun together after school!

We love seeing their creativity shine and can’t wait to share more of their amazing work. 💛

Highland and Wingland Elementary students showed incredible focus, determination, and sportsmanship while participating in Tennis through the Explore Afterschool Program! 🎾👏

Students learned valuable skills such as discipline, strategy, coordination, and confidence — all while having fun and trying something new. We are so proud of their hard work, growth, and enthusiasm throughout the season!

A huge thank you to BC Tennis and the Kern County Tennis Association for partnering with the Explore Afterschool Program to provide such an exciting opportunity for our students. 💙

👩‍🍳🍽️ Big fun in the kitchen at SES Explore Afterschool Program!

Selected students from each grade level got the chance to take part in a two-day cooking class, where they learned to prepare a variety of delicious foods through hands-on instruction. From trying new recipes to building confidence in the kitchen, our young chefs had an amazing time!

We are incredibly proud of our 9 student-athletes who competed at the Kern County Track Meet on April 25 — and even more excited to share that ALL 9 are advancing to the Valley Meet on May 9! 🏃‍♂️🔥

Our students celebrated the season with a spring-themed art activity! Using bright colors and creative ideas, they made beautiful artwork inspired by flowers, sunshine, and new beginnings. 🌼✨
