📣 Exciting News! CAPCA’s Annual Fall CE Meeting is coming to Bakersfield College this year! 🎉 This is a big change from our usual locations, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to host it right here at BC.
What’s even more exciting? Bakersfield College offers a specialized certificate program for PCA (Pest Control Advisers)! 🌿🕷️ If you’re not familiar, a PCA is a professional who provides expert advice on pest control and integrated pest management, crucial for maintaining healthy crops and protecting our local agriculture.
đź’¸ In Kern County, PCA professionals can earn between $65K and $90K annually
Why are PCAs so vital in our region? Kern County is a major agricultural hub, and PCAs play a key role in ensuring our crops remain healthy and pest-free, which supports our local economy and food supply.
We’ll have a limited number of spots available for students to attend the meeting, and we’ll be sharing a link soon for you to apply. Stay tuned for more details!
Let’s take this opportunity to learn, grow, and explore the rewarding career of a PCA! 🌟📚

Did you know that testing your soil is crucial when starting to plant any types of crops. Our SOILB1 class tested the soil on the Regenerative farm. This test should tell us the NPK make up of the soil. Knowing this allows the farmer to make decisions on the proper amendments and cover crops to use.
