Next Tuesday, August 4th, the Baker School "Sound of the Swamp" will be previewing their 2026-2027 Marching Band show! There is no cost for admission. Event is held at Doug Griffith Stadium at Baker School. Come out and supported these talented musicians!

Here they are!

Camp’s been going great and they’re already well into this year’s show! Meet the Band Preview Night is on Tuesday, August 4th at 7PM in Doug Griffith Memorial Stadium.

A few reminders:

We gave all students a form for buying their polos and shorts online. Orders close on Monday, July 20th! Reminders will be sent out that day to anyone who still needs to order anything.

Friday will be a late day for the kids, weather permitting. Make sure they dress for warm weather, bring a refillable water bottle (2-quart or 2-liter), and wear sunscreen. If the weather turns bad, we will end the day early.

Before we officially start our Baker HS Band Camp next week, we wanted to shout out two additional camps and opportunities our students have participated in this summer!

At the beginning of June, Aidan Pine brought the Baker Band to Texas as he participated in the University of North Texas’ Marching Percussion Camp. This is one of the best universities in the country and we are so glad he got this experience!

And just this past week, alongside FSU MS Band Camp, Aidan along with our Drum Major Ava Mullins and Assistant Drum Major Abigail Griffin participated in FSU’s Leadership Camp. The students learned a lot from this experience and are excited to bring back the things they learned to the Baker Band!
