From today’s Advocate coverage:

“Academic results since the change of management at Impact Charter have not been promising.

Previously a B-rated school, it slipped to a C letter grade last year. Its most recent LEAP scores, released earlier this month, were down for the second year in a row. Its overall percentage of students achieving mastery level on these state-sponsored standardized tests has dropped from 32% to 19% over the past years. It has registered declines in every tested subject.”

Every child deserves an excellent education. Every percentage point represents real students, real families, and real futures.

This page has always documented the journey of Impact, and today’s reporting is part of that history.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

We are deeply saddened to hear about the reported incident involving a student at the school currently operating as “Impact Charter at Harding.” .

Our thoughts and prayers are with the child, the family, classmates, and all those affected.

For clarity, the original Impact Charter School leadership, founders, and Education Explosion organization are not involved in the management, daily operations, staffing, administration, policies, or emergency response procedures of “Impact Charter at Harding.” The school currently operates under a separate administration and governance structure established through actions taken by BESE.

Because many members of the public continue to associate the current school with the original Impact Charter School, we believe it is important to respectfully clarify that they are separate operations. Any questions, concerns, or requests for accountability regarding this incident should be directed to the current administration and governing authorities responsible for oversight of the school’s operations.

Above all, we remain prayerful for the student and family and hopeful for a positive outcome.
