ALERT: WE WILL BE STEALING THIS PHRASE

Recently, we had a grandma bring in her three grandsons (we’re not great at guessing ages, but each were between 10-13).

Grandma came up to pay for their food that she ordered on the phone prior. As she was counting her cash, the young men saw our cookie/dessert menu on display and each of them began begging for different cookies/desserts. They were just being kids, nothing mean or awful.

Grandma miscounted her money multiple times, because she kept getting interrupted. We’re not going to say the kids got to her, but we will say she suddenly became very aware that it was a 3-on-1 match and her shoulders were on the mat. She looked over at them and said sternly:

“I don’t know what to tell you, you want a cookie and people in hell want ice water. Take that for what it is.”

🤣😂😅

The next time a bartender asks for a night off, we’re going to have that line in our back pocket. (UPDATE: that last sentence was a joke. We thought it was obvious, but there’s some people posing as wet blankets in the comments who’ve never heard of a joke before. So we just wanted to make it very clear) 😂

📸 Credit: We don’t remember exactly what Grandma ordered, but we know one of them was a BellyFiller (steak, cheese, mushrooms, onions & peppers). This is the lunch special – 6 inch sandwich and fries for $9.50 (this particular customer upgraded to onion rings).
