Looking for a fun, full-day August option for your child? Our summer camps run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and are designed for rising kindergarteners through rising fourth graders. Campers will spend their days outdoors, hiking, making crafts, playing games, and enjoying plenty of time to explore and connect with friends. It’s a wonderful way to end the summer with adventure, creativity, and lots of fresh air!

Exactly three weeks ago, our community gathered to cheer on our fifth grade graduates, the 🌊 Blue Dragons🐲 ! Their celebration kicked off in grand style with a live performance of 🎓️ Pomp and Circumstance🎺 by Music teacher David and Roving Resource Mike.

Then fifth grade teacher Shannon stepped up to share a heartfelt message celebrating each graduate’s unique spark🌟 and gifts. After that, our grads took the mic to offer words of gratitude, inspiration, and even a little humor before receiving their specially made photo collages, complete with compliments from staff.

Of course, no celebration is complete without dessert — and this one ended on a sweet note with a pull-apart cupcake creation featuring a blue dragon design. Congratulations to our Blue Dragons! We are so proud of each of you and hope you’ll come back and visit soon.

We hope our families and friends are enjoying some sunny summer break time! Here’s a little throwback to the glorious chaos of Field Day. Each class dreamed up its own relay or activity, and together they made up a five-station circuit full of energy, teamwork, and lots of laughter.😂

At some point in the rotation, everyone made a very happy stop at 🍦 The Island School Ice Cream Bus🚌 . By the end of the day, it’s safe to say everyone was happily wiped out.

Island Schoolers ended the year with a burst of joy! One of our favorite moments was our very first 🎉 Preschool Celebrations, marking the grand finale of our outdoor preschool program’s first-ever year. Teachers Carla and Frannie went all out to make sure the celebration was truly epic.

Each child received a personalized Paper Plate Award that captured their one-of-a-kind spirit, and our Kindergarten-bound friends were also honored with a certificate and a nature crown. We wrapped up the festivities with mini cupcakes and bubbly water for the perfect sweet finish.

A huge thank you to all of our families and staff for helping make this first year absolutely amazing!🩷

Join us in celebrating 🌼Amanda Ward🌼 and her incredible seven years as Head of School at The Island School. As she prepares for her next adventure, we’re gathering as a community to honor all she has given during her time here.

All are welcome to a special Monday Morning Sing on June 8 from 8:30–9:00 a.m., followed by a brief reception for adults.

If you haven’t had a chance to RSVP yet, we’d love to hear from you (link below)—but all are welcome.
