Hazel Creek Montessori, located on Bainbridge Island, WA, is currently looking to hire full time Early Childhood Montessori teachers/assistants specifically for our Toddler classroom. The teaching assistants collaborate directly with the Lead Toddler Montessori Teacher to assist in developing the school year curriculum and themes. We are looking for enthusiastic, engaging, patient, warm, nurturing, kind, creative individuals who have prior experience working specifically with toddlers, ages 1-2.5 years old. The candidate must be able to provide quality, nurturing care to the children enrolled in our program and will demonstrate skills to properly address developmental needs of the students in the class. An early childhood Montessori teaching certification is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates with the capability and desire to achieve this certification. We are a fun group of administrators/teachers looking for someone dynamic and passionate to join our family!
Compensation is competitive and based on education and experience. Candidates must have some flexibility in scheduling, as working until 6:30pm could be required on occasion if needed, depending on schedules. A typical daily schedule would likely be 8-4 or 8:30-4:30pm.
All candidates who will receive an offer of employment must pass a background check, have a current "cleared" TB test, and have certification of CPR/FIRST AID training.
