📢SIGN UP BY FRIDAY 10/16 TO RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL GUEST PASS!📢 Every year, USA Climbing youth competitions take place nationwide, offering kids the chance to push their limits through competitive climbing. Insight Bainbridge will be hosting a USAC Qualifying Event on Saturday 11/7, where we’ll host hundreds of Washington state’s strongest young climbers. And we can't do it without your help!

Volunteer for a 4-hour shift as a belayer or judge and earn a free guest pass for every shift you volunteer for! Let's show climbing teams from across the state just how awesome the Insight community is! Sign up by Friday, October 16 and you’ll receive an additional guest pass!

🥳Climb for FREE this fall!🥳 Community Climbing Day is Saturday, Oct 17 from 10am-5pm at Insight Climbing & Movement in Bremerton! Free admission for the whole community. All ages and abilities welcome, no experience needed. Come try out the awesome sport of rock climbing—reservations required so snag your spot today!

❗Please note: Insight Bremerton is a bouldering-only facility.❗ Bouldering is a fun and challenging type of rock climbing with shorter walls and more cushioned floors. No ropes or harnesses are involved, and no experience is needed. Climbing shoes are required to climb at Insight, and rental shoes are not included with admission.

⛰️Outdoor climbing highlight!⛰️ The Insight community knows one of the best parts of summer is getting outside—from Greece to Yosemite to nearby Lake Cushman, our members have flaked out their ropes or laid out their crash pads and got to work. These are just a few highlights from many adventures had throughout the summer!

🪢Interested in learning skills to climb outside?🪢You can get started in the gym! Our next Learn to Lead class is next week, with space open. And if you've never belayed, you can start with our Top Rope Belay class, offered every two weeks at Insight Bainbridge!

💥Staff Highlight!💥This month we're talking to setter, coach, and instructor, Zoe! Zoe has been climbing for years—even before her mom, Michele, opened our first gym in 2013! Zoe was a competitive youth climber and placed in the top 15 at the USA Climbing National Championships several times for both bouldering and sport (rope) climbing, and had a 2nd place podium finish for speed climbing in 2016. She's always been a huge part of this gym, and we're so glad to have her back at Insight after college. Let's hear what she has to say:

🎤How long have you been working at Insight Climbing & Movement?
🍁I've been working here for 6 years, but I've been in and out for school for the past few years.

🎤What do you enjoy about working here?
🍁As a camp counselor in previous years, I loved being creative and being a leader for young climbers, encouraging them to learn more about climbing and continue after the camp ends. As a routesetter, I love being one of the people behind the routes and watching people climb them. I also love getting feedback on my routes from the other routesetters and climbers.

🎤What do you love about climbing?
🍁I love that there are so many ways to move whether that's direction on the wall or types of moves.

🎤What do you do to try to make the world a better place?
🍁I try to contribute positively to the community and treat people with respect and encourage them to grow whether in climbing or in any aspect of life.

🎤What do you do when you're not climbing?
🍁I've been drawn to the arts, with drawing and singing being my favorites recently. I also like studying languages, two of which I majored in in college (привет, hola!). You might also find me lifting in the weights area doing my favorite exercise: calf raises!

🎤What are you nerding out on right now?
🍁I've been wanting to learn how to sew my own clothes, so I've been researching both the sewing process and sourcing of high quality materials.

We had a blast running our summer climbing camps this year! Our week long camps have a little bit of everything: team building, games, obstacle courses, routesetting, snacks on the grass, and of course, SO MUCH CLIMBING!

We still have spots available in the last camp of the summer, from 8/24-8/28. Give us a call or sign up on our website!

When school starts up, we'll switch over to our after-school programming. We've expanded our offerings this year, and we have options for a variety of ages! Click the link in our bio to find out more and sign up!
