HERE WE GO! It is the start of a new academic year, which means a new performing season in my studio! The photo collage below actually features students from the past 10 years, from 2014 to 2024. (And the teacher practicing in one of the pics. 😅) There is a lot of exciting music the kids will be performing this year on our four studio recitals: some of the big highlights include two different Transcendental Études by Franz Liszt (10 and 11), two different sonatas by Serge Prokofiev (4 and 8), a bunch of Beethoven and Haydn Sonatas, Bach and Scarlatti of all kinds...and some of the concertos for our annual concerto concert: Grieg, Ravel, Mozart, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and more! We also have some great music from the 20th/21st century as well: some Bartók, Margaret Bonds, and Alberto Ginastera, among many others.
