Addressing the many myths and misconceptions concerning the animal kingdom. Promoting respect and conservation through education! Taproot Guru came about as an answer to the often negative connotation given to many media/news items relating to wildlife and nature in general. We believe negative stories diminish the respect and sense of responsibility we have toward wildlife, as stewards of the Earth. By presenting the animal kingdom in a more positive light, by refuting the myths and misconceptions that have hung around for years, we hope to turn hearts toward conservation and shared existence.

The Nyerere-Udzungwa Wildlife Corridor is the first wildlife corridor to be given official protection by the government of Tanzania. In just 15 months, at least 1,440 mammals used the corridor, 529 of which were elephants.

The corridor, established in collaboration with hundreds of local landowners who were interested in protecting their crops from the massive animals, connects Nyerere National Park’s open savanna woodlands with the high-altitude rainforests of the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, critical habitats for the African savanna elephants.
