My existing business, Little Lash Boutique, has been thriving since 2013. I had an incredible sense of urgency to start this business in 2012 after a bad, so-called eyelash extension application. So I went to school for esthetics, and took a few basic courses because that's all that there was available at the time. I began giving free services to my neighbors, family, and friends, until I felt comfortable enough to charge a fee. Then decided to open a tiny store front in New York. I felt like it was my duty to provide these services t to the public - the proper way - giving the world the best version of it possible. My business was so niche that New York State did not know how to categorize it! Nonetheless, it literally took off quick; I "made rent" on my very first day of opening! Six months later, I opened another location triple the size. Year one, I was happy just to pay rent and cover my bills. Year three, I was able to go on dream vacations. Year five, I made my first million dollars, and recently I celebrated my eighth year in business. Little Lash Boutique even made it through the COVID-19 pandemic when too many other businesses suffered, and closed. Through the years I have mentored young entrepreneurs by teaching them my lash and brow skills, the ins and the outs of the beauty business, and even helped them open their own establishments.
