On behalf of the Webber Legacy Foundation’s Board of Directors and our Giving Committee, I am proud to announce Cristian Omoya as our 2026 Giving Year scholarship recipient. Our Foundation honors the friends and classmates whose lives left a mark on us, and that drive us to create opportunities for the Webber students today.
A little more about Cris…he is originally from Bolivia, and came to Webber International University to study business management. Cris brings with him an extensive background in content and audiovisual production. During his time at Webber, he has put those skills to use capturing Webber athletics, campus life, and the people and moments that have made the University feel like home to its students and faculty. Cris’ experience has also given him the opportunity to work closely with University leadership and across departments combining his business education with his interests in creative strategy as he prepares for life after graduation.
When asked to share his thoughts on being recognized by the Foundation, Cris said “I’ve been fortunate to have people believe in me and open doors for me along the way. Receiving this scholarship reminds me that people I never met can still have an impact on my life. I hope one day I can do the same for others.”
This is exactly what we hope our scholarships can do... carry the impact of those who came before us into the lives of those who come next.
Congratulations, Cristian. We’re proud to have you representing the Webber Legacy Foundation and look forward to seeing where your journey takes you.
