At The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) we are closing the gender gap in business

Babson’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) educates, inspires and empowers women entrepreneurial leaders to reach their full potential to create economic and social value for themselves, their organizations, and society. The center does this through innovative education programs, events, and by supporting and widely disseminating research about the unique skills and experiences of women entrepreneurial leaders. Additionally, CWEL supports and advances gender equality as a growth strategy for individuals and for organizations of all sizes, everywhere in the world.

“Clarity comes from action, not from waiting until everything is perfect.” — Mastering Intentions

Last Thursday, the Frank & Eileen™ Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership welcomed Bianca D'Alessio, Real Estate Professional '14 back to campus for a powerful masterclass, Fireside Chat & Book Signing.

Bianca shared an honest reflection on the nonlinear path that shaped her career, from unexpected beginnings to building a name in real estate. Her story was not about having a perfect plan, but about showing up, staying resilient, and learning through every experience along the way.

A few takeaways that resonated deeply with our community:

• Growth happens in the work no one else wants to do
• The most valuable opportunities often come from unexpected places
• Knowing your worth is essential, and advocating for it is non-negotiable

She also reminded us that who you are and what you do are deeply connected. Meaningful work, lasting relationships, and real success come from genuinely caring.

We are grateful to have hosted this conversation in partnership with the Babson Women In Business Club, TARCO Institute for Real Estate and Entrepreneurship, Babson Graduate Real Estate Club, and Babson College Alumni and Friends.

High school students can now spend their summer at Babson.

This summer, the Arthur M. Blank School Summer Program invites rising high school juniors and seniors to explore their interests through hands-on, action-oriented learning — with flexible options including in-person (residential or commuter) and online courses.

With 50+ immersive offerings, students build real-world skills, gain confidence, and discover how their passions can translate into meaningful impact.

Featured Course: Developing Your Inner Change Maker
July 27 to 31 | 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET
Offered by the Frank & Eileen Center's Executive Director, Dr. Shakenna K. Williams, and Dr. Emily Rosado-Solomon

This dynamic and interactive course helps students turn passion into impact. Through team based activities and real world discussions, participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and learn how to translate ideas into action. It is perfect for students who want to lead, launch initiatives, or better understand how they can make a difference in their communities and beyond.
