Thank you so much for your encouragement of our poster and of my research pursuits as a BSN student! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at WIN. It was a learning experience, and the biggest lesson I learned was that I am growing in my confidence as a professional. It is such an empowering feeling!

It's crazy for me to think that just over a year ago, I was sitting in my first APU SON research symposium thinking "Wow, Lord, this whole research thing is cool, but it seems like I won't have the opportunity to take part in it for at least 15 years." Little did I know that He would soon use the then recent spark of Professor Boyd's and my interest in shedding light on s*x trafficking. Within a couple months of that prayer, I had started a research journey that led me through learning fundamentals of literature review, synthesis of results, and presentation of findings. I had no idea that within a year I would have presented at Common Day of Learning and at WIN! In addition, we are planning to publish our findings this summer. God is so kind and generous to bless me in this way. I never want to forget, though, why I am doing research: for the victims and all those involved in s*x trafficking. They are precious creations of God, and I am glad to do my part to help bring freedom to captives. To God be the glory!
