The mission is to build alters not empires!

The alters are made from the stepping stones that have created us to be who we are. We walk forward in life with the view of Jesus turning our stumbling blocks into stepping stones. We take them and learn. We glean everything we can from the challenges and use them in our favor to build us and turn our hearts a little bit more to the Father.
Our futures are not to create a whole empire, but to lay these challenges before the king of kings as an offering of our lives. The hope that falls on us as His grace appears through each challenge brings us into another realm of His glory.
The challenges fall one after another like stones on the ground at His feet and an alter of love, joy, grace, peace and hope arises.

Father, we lay upon the alter our struggles of today. We make an alter of sacrifice and surrender and we know with thankful hearts you are standing with us in love saying well done! I approved of you before you even started today, I love that you stepped in. Thank you for your love.

This week we got the privilege to pray at the sites of the Azusa Street Revival. We also got to thank God for what He did through the leader of the revival at his grave. Thank you God for what you have done in the past. But God we are hungry for more and cry out for a new move of your spirit in our day! Your Kingdom come, Your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven!!

When the breakthrough comes and you can't even....!

This world is changed by people who through their desperation cry out to God with expectation. These people will not be silenced by the noise and lies of this world, but with a deep and unwavering gaze they fix their eyes on Christ. The author of change. The healer of hearts. The one who's already working and pursuing each of his own with a gentle force of creative power, full of love. He is unyielding to our earthly fears and motives and searches us out in passionate grace. He seeks our deepest dreams and motivates our silent desires. He stirs within us an awakening, a call to rise up, to not settle, to not back down. He fights for us in our weakness and in those times we see his strength. He clothes us with His character, asking us to ask for more. He is our father, our lover, our friend. He is our provider and our healer even when we don't know we need it. He often corrects us, but He never leaves us in shame.
His love for us is like a consuming fire, taking over and leaving nothing of the former self.
What is God desiring to be for you this season?

What is He asking you to bring to this earth that will reflect His Kingdom and being Him glory?

Last night we had the most beautiful family dinner on the porch! A beautiful meal with beautiful friends on a beautiful evening....just because!

"Be still and know that I am God"
This morning we took time to let God speak His words of life over us personally and then came together and built an Altar of Remembrance to commission these next two months to God. We look forward to what you will do in us Holy Spirit!

God tonight we cry out for the Muslim world, that they would discover your love and mercy. We ask that you would send forth those who would labor in the difficult places. That they would be consumed by Your passion and love for the lost so that the banner ofJesus Christ would be raised in every nation, over every tribe, and written in every tongue.
