On Monday night, APU Baseball alumni gathered at Angel Stadium to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the lifelong brotherhood that defines Cougar Baseball. ⚾️🐾

Highlights of the night were stepping onto the field pre-game with APU alum Stephen Vogt ’07, Manager of the Cleveland Guardians and watching the Angels vs. Guardians from a suite generously hosted by a faithful APU donor 🙌

Once a Cougar, always a Cougar! ❤️🐾

What began as a season of exploration at APU eventually led David Sexauer ’92 to discover his calling as an entrepreneur and servant leader. Today, as CEO of DAST Consulting Services, he leverages technology and strategic partnerships to help Christian K-12 schools secure vital funding to expand student access. David's time on APU's campus shaped a business philosophy rooted in humility, faith, and a deep investment in others.

“My understanding of leadership has changed as I’ve grown in my faith,” David said. “I’ve learned that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care, and recognizing the value of every person as created in the image of God has transformed the way I lead.”

From navigating virtual masterclasses during the pandemic to performing roles in classic operas like 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘯, Isabel Liana (Randall), MM ’21, approaches the stage as much more than a performance space. Inspired by a life-changing trip to Malaysia, where she saw how music can heal and empower, she has combined high-level vocal performance with a deep sense of calling. Isabel's time at APU helped her build the resilience, technique, and faith needed to thrive in the professional music world.

“Seeing how music healed, empowered, and changed people made me want to turn my interest in music into a career,” Isabel said. “I see opera as my mission field.”
