And that’s a WRAP for the 2026 GFF 4th grade farm tours! Two weeks, 10 schools, TONS of effort from our team—all to teach about 750 kiddos about agriculture, healthy living and to love being outside! Thank you San Juan County elementary schools, we can’t wait to have you back next year!

What a fantastic week of Growing Forward Farm Field trips!
Thank you Ladera, Blanco, Sacred Heart and Kirtland Elementary Schools for coming to visit us at the farm.

Call to register for this seasons canning classes!

Canning Class are back for the Summer! Come join us to learn or refresh your canning knowledge. Each class will include a overview of safe canning techniques and hands-on practice. The class has a $20 supply fee per particitpant, each particitant will receive two take home jars from the workshop. To register call the NMSU Extension Office at 505-334-9496. All workshops will be held at the NMSU Growing Forward Farm at NMSU CES San Juan County.

The farm is buzzzzzzing 🐝 we are excited to partner with Bees of the San Juan as part of our new farmer training program to add a bee keeping project to the Growing Forward Farm! Stay tuned for some great information to come.

Welcome our newest addition to the Growing Forward Farm family! We had four baby Killdeer birds hatch this week to our beloved Judy & Bob (appropriately named by the kids on the farm). It’s officially the growing season! 🐣
