Our FJH Yearbook team got us good! They went around asking teachers to name their official "walkout song" and show off a few dance moves... only to secretly swap the tracks in the final video.

Dr. Norris is a die-hard Aggie, and hearing the Longhorn Fight Song blast out during her clip almost made her lose her mind (and my maroon pride)! 😅 Whoop-s!

Huge thanks to our incredibly creative yearbook students for keeping us on our toes and giving the whole school a great laugh. Check out the video to see everyone’s real reactions! 👇

🎶 What a night for our Forte Junior High Band! 🎶

Our students absolutely brought it at the Fall Band Concert! We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent they shared on stage. Watching our students grow as musicians—and seeing their confidence shine—is something special. 🎺🥁🎷

A huge thank you to our incredible band directors for all they do to make these performances possible. We appreciate Mr. Woolhouse, Mrs. Northam, and Mr. Riley for their time, expertise, and commitment to our students.

Way to go, Forte Band! We are so proud of you! 💚🖤🤍

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month! Azle ISD will be celebrating Go Red for Dyslexia on Tuesday October 6. Go Red for Dyslexia is a worldwide campaign aiming to end the stigma of low literacy and celebrate the strength of people with learning differences. We are asking that the students wear red as we place the spotlight on the strengths of our students with dyslexia. So often dyslexia is framed around limitations, but we are shifting from a deficit mindset to exploring the cognitive gifts that accompany dyslexia.

Special shoutout to our amazing dyslexia teacher, Mrs. Belinda Delikat! We appreciate you at FJH and all you do for your students!
