Senior Sunrise 2026: A Year To Remember! (And a special shout out to our student council for organizing this special occasion 💙💙💙)

Attention seniors and senior parents. A message from our Yearbook Advisor, Mrs. Gore:

Hello Seniors,

There will be TWO opportunities for you to have your senior portrait taken, including the option to take cap and gown photos. The traditional senior portrait featuring the tuxedo or drape is required for the yearbook, while cap and gown pictures are optional.
The first portrait session is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026. A make-up date will be available on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, for anyone who is unable to attend the first session.
Portraits will be taken during the school day in the mini-gym. You will be called to the mini-gym when it is your turn, so no appointment is necessary. At that time, you will have your tuxedo or drape portrait taken, as well as cap and gown photos if you choose to participate.

What to Wear

For tuxedo and drape photos, please wear a camisole, tank top, or T-shirt underneath.
Tuxedos, drapes, caps, and gowns will be provided.

ATA & AAST Students: If you attend ATA or AAST, your senior portraits will be taken at your program school. Your portrait will be forwarded to me for inclusion in the Aynor High School yearbook.

Senior Sunrise is Friday, August 21 from 6 am to 7 am. All seniors are invited to the student parking lot/practice field to watch the sunrise as a class. Breakfast will be provided.

💙Welcome Back Breakfast 2026💙

For the second year, the Aynor-area schools came together to kick off a new school year as one community. Faculty and staff from Aynor Elementary, Midland Elementary, Aynor Middle, and Aynor High gathered for our annual Welcome Back Breakfast—a morning centered on fellowship, encouragement, and our shared commitment to the students and families we serve.

With the theme “Our Family, Our Purpose,” the morning was a reminder that while we may work in different schools, we are one Aynor family with one common purpose.

A special thank you to Aynor’s very own Mr. Paul Butler for sharing an inspirational message with our faculty and staff as we prepare for the year ahead.

🎶 What an AMAZING Band Camp 2026! 💙🐝

The “Spirit of Aynor, Blue Jacket Marching Band” is proud to present its 2026 field show: “1978!” 🎺🥁

This year’s show is taking us back to what marching band used to be in 1978, bringing that classic marching band experience back to the field—with 80 members strong! 💙🤍
