Through this interactive workshop, our staff dived deep into strategies designed to build trust, promote positive social-emotional growth, and empower our students to take ownership of their learning and community. 💬❤️

The wait is officially over! Our campus came alive with bright smiles, new backpacks, and incredible energy as we kicked off the first day of the 2026–2027 school year! 🔔 Dynamic learning, high-fives, and new friendships are officially underway across campus! 📚❤️

To celebrate our return, we caught up with some of our amazing 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students to hear what makes them unique and learn some fun facts about themselves! 💬🎨

From aspiring future teachers to avid crafters and fishermen, our students proved that STAR Academy is filled with absolute superstars! ⭐🚀

Thank you to all of our families for helping us make day 1 such a smooth, exciting success. We are ready for a phenomenal year ahead! 💪🌴

🎒 What a Night! Meet the Teacher Night Was a Huge Success! 🌟

Our school is officially buzzing again! Thank you to all of our incredible students, families, and guardians who joined us for Meet the Teacher Night! 🏫✨

It was so wonderful seeing familiar faces returning and giving warm welcomes to all our new families joining the STAR Academy community. From exploring classrooms and dropping off school supplies to meeting our dedicated teachers and staff, the excitement in every room was absolutely contagious! 📚✏️

We can’t wait to see everyone bright and early on August 3rd for the first day of school! 🔔☀️

🎉 We're All In for Avondale! 🎉

What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–27 school year! Today, we welcomed our amazing staff back during our All Staff Back-to-School Celebration, centered around this year's theme: All In for Avondale... Playing to Our Strengths. ❤️💙

The energy was electric as the Copper Trails Dance Team, Copper Trails Cheer Team, and Desert Star Cheer Team brought the excitement with spirited dances and cheers that had everyone ready for an amazing year ahead!

We were also excited to introduce our 2026–27 Student Hope Ambassadors from each of our schools.

Together, we're building a school year where every student, every staff member, and every school plays to their strengths. Here's to an incredible year ahead!

What an absolute powerhouse of a morning! Staff from across the district gathered for the official AESD Staff Kickoff and the room was buzzing with unstoppable energy, passion, and enthusiasm! 🎉🙌

This theme hits right home here at STAR Academy! We are stepping into the 2026–2027 school year fully committed to honoring the unique talents, skills, and strengths of every single student and staff member. Our team left the kickoff inspired, recharged, and 100% ready to bring that energy into the classroom for our students when doors open on August 3rd! 🎒✨

We are so excited to throw open our doors and welcome our kids back on Monday, August 3rd, 2026! 🗓️🚀

A huge, heartfelt shoutout to our amazing community partner, Palm Valley Church, for fueling our team with a delicious catered lunch from Panera Bread! 🥪🥗 Your constant support, generosity, and love for our school family means the world to us and set the perfect tone for our week of prep. 🥐❤️

🎒 Back-to-School Ready: Thank You, Legacy Foundation! 🎒✨

As we gear up for a brand-new school year, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! We want to extend a massive thank you to The Legacy Foundation and all of their amazing sponsors for inviting our district to Phoenix College for their 2nd annual Backpack Buddies program! 🏫❤️

Thanks to their incredible generosity, our students are heading back to the classroom feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn. From brand-new backpacks stuffed with supplies to essential school uniforms and so much more, this event provided our families with the critical tools needed for a successful start! ✏️👕📏

It truly takes a village to empower our students, and we are so blessed to have community partners like The Legacy Foundation who believe in our children and invest in their future. 🌟🙌
