💙💛 Smiles, laughter, and warm welcomes created the perfect beginning to a new school year as students eagerly met their teachers and teachers joyfully welcomed each student. Every handshake, conversation, and classroom visit helped build meaningful connections and reminded everyone that they are an important part of something special. Connection, celebration, and inspiration defined this year's AESD kickoff as the Michael Anderson team came together with colleagues from across the district. Familiar faces reunited, new friendships began, and school pride filled every conversation. Encouraging messages and shared experiences served as a reminder that every staff member plays an important role in creating meaningful learning experiences and a welcoming school community. The event celebrated the collective commitment, passion, and purpose that will continue to shape a successful year for every student and every member of the Michael Anderson family.

What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–27 school year! Today, we welcomed our amazing staff back during our All Staff Back-to-School Celebration, centered around this year's theme: All In for Avondale... Playing to Our Strengths. ❤️💙

The energy was electric as the Copper Trails Dance Team, Copper Trails Cheer Team, and Desert Star Cheer Team brought the excitement with spirited dances and cheers that had everyone ready for an amazing year ahead!

We were also excited to introduce our 2026–27 Student Hope Ambassadors from each of our schools.

Together, we're building a school year where every student, every staff member, and every school plays to their strengths. Here's to an incredible year ahead!

The first day back at Michael Anderson School felt like coming home. New faces were welcomed, familiar friendships were renewed, and icebreakers sparked conversations that quickly turned colleagues into teammates.

The fun continued with random prize drawings before everyone gathered to enjoy lunch together. A heartfelt thank you to Palm Valley Church for generously providing lunch for our teachers on their first day back. Your kindness made our team feel welcomed and reminded us that our community stands beside our schools.

Starting the year together with connection, laughter, and a shared purpose is the perfect beginning to an amazing school year. 💙🍎✨
